“Hell Comes to Birmingham Part Two”

In "Hell Comes to Birmingham Part Two," Captain Britain races through a twisted alternate dimension to reunite with his wife Meggan, only to face a shocking betrayal when his brother Jamie turns on him. Meanwhile, the rest of MI13 battles through a burning apartment complex, confronting Mindless Ones and forcing Blade to set aside his vendetta against Spitfire—until a possessed Dane loses control, guided by a weapon that isn’t what he thinks. Written by Paul Cornell and illustrated by Leonard Kirk, with inks by Michael Bair, Jay Leisten, and Craig Yeung, and colors by Brian Reber and John Rauch, the issue’s cover by Bryan Hitch captures the chaos in bold, dynamic strokes.

The demon, Plokta, has shown Captain Britain his fondest desire, Meggan, through a door to an alternate dimension and Cap leaps to the rescue. He is reunited with his wife and they return to earth to live an ideal existence. That is, until brother Jamie shows up and attacks. Meanwhile, the rest of MI13 are fighting their way through the magically flaming apartment building looking for the demon in charge. When Mindless Ones attack, Blade finally stops trying to kill Spitfire. Feeling possessed by his sword, Dane goes wild until Pete tells him the weapon he is wielding is not the Ebony Blade.
