The Commissioner enlists Cap to uncover the identity of the Cowled Commander just before a bomb explodes in the precinct. Falcon hears news reports of the explosion and the presumed death of Captain America. He races to the scene and confronts the Viper, who admits to planting the bomb and attacks Falcon with a poisoned dart. Captain America arrives, demanding the antidote to the poison, but he is poisoned too and the Viper escapes.
