Captain America #13
In "Le Faucon et la Vipère," Captain America is drawn into a deadly game when the Commissioner calls on him to unmask the mysterious Cowled Commander just before a bomb tears through the precinct. Falcon, learning of the explosion and Cap’s presumed death, rushes to the scene only to face the Viper, who admits to the attack and strikes him with a poisoned dart. When Captain America arrives to demand the antidote, he’s swiftly overcome by the same poison—leaving both heroes vulnerable as the Viper vanishes into the shadows.
In "null," Captain America and Falcon face off against a cadre of villains led by the enigmatic Cowled Commander, only to discover the true target of the attack: their girlfriends. As the battle unfolds, the heroes confront Porcupine, Scarecrow, Eel, and Plantman, each a piece of a larger scheme that culminates in a revelation that redefines the enemy they’ve been fighting.
