Ted's dressed head-to-toe in an Arabian Nights costume — billowing sleeves, a jeweled vest, turban, and curled slippers — pleading his case to a very unimpressed Candy, who sits arms-crossed in a yellow chair and fires back that she knows exactly where this school-play business is heading. Harry Sahle's cover art for this February 1950 Quality Comics issue captures the series' breezy teen-comedy charm perfectly, with the duo's sparring speech bubbles doing as much comedic heavy lifting as their expressive faces. A fun snapshot of postwar funny-pages humor at its most cheerfully exasperated.
