Buster Bear encounters a large egg and, after discovering it contains a baby creature, attempts to care for it. When the egg hatches, Buster must contend with the mischievous infant while avoiding a bullying cat. The story continues with Buster taking the creature to a movie theater, where chaos ensues, followed by a sequence at a Royal Army Post where Buster and the creature help defend against an invasion by engaging General Noosuntz and his forces, ultimately saving the King from a palace fire.

When Buster Bear sets up a movie camera to film his friends, Cholly Chipmunk is determined to steal the spotlight—jumping, performing stunts, and doing his best to become the star of the show. As Cholly gets wilder and more daring to impress the filmmakers, chaos erupts, but Honey Bear keeps the camera rolling, convinced she's capturing pure gold. It's a madcap six pages of slapstick and mistaken ambitions that proves sometimes the funniest moments are the ones nobody planned.
