Bulletproof Coffin #5

The penultimate issue of this six-part Image series arrives with a cover by Shaky Kane that's impossible to ignore — a lanky, purple-skinned figure in a grey jumpsuit sits cross-legged on a mint-green background, a ray gun held casually to his temple, surrounded by an assortment of scattered toys, robot figurines, a baseball bat labeled "Babe Teeth," and what appears to be a document or comic page. Written and illustrated entirely by Shaky Kane alongside co-writer David Hine, The Bulletproof Coffin has been one of 2010's most distinctively offbeat series, and this issue — titled "Animals, Children and Bad Motherfuckers" — promises to keep that streak alive.
