Birds of Prey #86

The cover tagline says it all — the Birds of Prey are movin' on up, and this November 2005 issue captures the chaos of that transition perfectly. Adriana Melo and Will Conrad's cover shows three women mid-moving-day mayhem: a dark-haired woman tumbling off a ladder amid toppling boxes, a blonde in black leveling a gun from atop the pile, another blonde reacting in alarm at scattered dishes and debris, and a red-haired woman with glasses front and center looking thoroughly exasperated by it all. With Gail Simone writing and "A Wakeful Time Part 1" kicking off a new arc, this issue promises the sharp wit and action-ready heroics that made this era of the series so enjoyable.
