Birds of Prey #[1]
Oracle sits at her glowing command center, headset on and fingers at the keyboard, while enormous monitor screens behind her broadcast Black Canary mid-punch against a backdrop of fire and the Huntress lunging forward through a shadowy cityscape — it's a striking visual that immediately defines the team's dynamic. Gary Frank and John Dell's cover composition does real work, positioning Oracle as the strategic nerve center with her two formidable field agents looming large on either side. This 1999 DC one-shot, written by Jordan B. Gorfinkel with art by Jennifer Graves, is a great entry point into "One Man's Hell" and the world these three compelling women share.
