Betty & Veronica (Jumbo Comics) Double Digest #2
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freePublished in 1987 as part of Archie's Digest Library, this 256-page double digest packs in a wealth of Betty and Veronica stories at remarkable value. Dan DeCarlo's cover captures a wonderfully awkward domestic moment: a cheerful Betty leans over a sink to wash someone's soapy hair with a handheld sprayer, while a clearly unamused Veronica stands arms-crossed in the background — her snappy comeback ("No thanks, Betty! You're already in my hair!") says everything about their endearingly complicated friendship. It's the kind of light, sharp humor that made these two Riverdale favorites so irresistible, and with 256 pages on offer, there's plenty more where that came from.

The superintendent of schools announces an early inspection of Riverdale High and Mr. Weatherbee writes a letter - to be hand delivered by Archie - asking for an extension. Archie takes a shortcut through the woods and encounters either poison ivy, poison oak or sumac which then gets transferred to the superintendent when Archie delivers the letter and the superintendent then cancels his early inspection because of the itching.
