Betty & Veronica (Jumbo Comics) Double Digest #19
In "The Guest," Archie stumbles upon a mysterious jewel called "The Eye of Howja Du" from a sea merchant, instantly transforming his speech into something oddly cryptic—much to the confusion of his friends. Meanwhile, Betty and Veronica’s walk takes a strange turn when Betty claims Veronica’s gaining weight, though she swears she never said a word, and Jughead finds himself trapped in a freezer after a pair of crooks make off with all the frozen lasagna at the store. Written by Frank Doyle and illustrated by Stan Goldberg, with inks by Jon D'Agostino, colors by Barry Grossman, and letters by Bill Yoshida, this 1990 Double Digest features a cover by Dan DeCarlo.
