Part One," Valerie’s sudden departure before a big performance leaves the Pussycats puzzled—especially when her excuse of a sick grandmother rings hollow. Josie, Melody, and Alexandra, now stepping in to fill her spot, start piecing together clues, suspecting Valerie’s retreat hides a deeper, more personal sacrifice tied to the club’s owner, who once made a clumsy move on her. With the mystery brewing and the stage set for drama, the band’s next show promises more than just music—it’s a showdown of loyalty, secrets, and the price of staying true to yourself. Written by Frank Doyle and illustrated by Stan Goldberg, with inks by Jon D'Agostino, colors by Barry Grossman, and letters by Bill Yoshida, the issue features a cover by Dan Parent.
In "Good News – and – Bad News," Jo finds herself caught in a whirlwind of mixed feelings when a clumsy fall leads to an unexpected moment of connection, only to be followed by a surprising twist in her relationship with her girlfriend—whose loyalty and honesty are put to the test in a way that leaves Jo both touched and bewildered.
Veronica enlists Betty to help coach Mr. Lodge’s struggling girl’s softball team, but Betty quickly realizes the team’s losing streak might have more to do with Veronica’s unorthodox tactics than lack of talent.
In "To Grandmother's House," Valerie’s sudden departure for a mysterious family emergency sends Josie, Melody, and Alexandra scrambling to figure out what she’s really up to—especially when the band’s next gig lands them at a club tied to a past romantic misstep. With rumors swirling and the truth buried under layers of teenage drama, the girls dive into a mystery that’s equal parts prank, heart, and the kind of chaos only a Pussycat lineup can handle.
In "Alexandra's Liberation," Alexandra takes a bold step by joining the Pussycats for a gig at an all-boys’ university, arriving in an elegant evening gown instead of her usual costume. When the boys don’t react the way she expects, she leans into her frustration with a pointed critique of their attitudes—only to find herself in a situation that tests her expectations in ways she didn’t anticipate.
Veronica’s got two tickets to the Sports Palace bowling match, and she’s not about to let Betty steal the spotlight—especially if Archie’s involved. When she suspects Betty’s planning a date, she calls the Better Baby-Sitters’ Bureau to book a last-minute babysitting gig, forcing Betty to stay home. In turn, Betty calls the same bureau to set up a job for Archie, hoping to keep him from going with Veronica.
Betty and Veronica are buzzing with excitement as Hollywood director Steven Squeelburger arrives at the Lodge mansion, bringing along a star from his latest film, *Jurassic Pork*. The girls can't decide who's more thrilling—the director or the mystery actor—each convinced the other is the real reason to get excited.
