Batwing leaps into action front and center on this New 52 cover, brandishing an enormous sword as he's flanked by a striking assembly of Justice League International members — including Green Lantern, Batman, Nightwing, Booster Gold, a blue-clad figure, a large imposing alien, and a blonde-haired woman in white — all charging together in a dynamic, kinetic composition. Marcus To handles both pencils and inks here, giving the ensemble a clean, energetic quality that makes the team-up feel genuinely exciting. "I Am One with This Land" promises a story that puts DC's African hero shoulder-to-shoulder with some heavy hitters, and this twelfth issue makes a strong case for Batwing's place among the New 52's most action-packed titles.
