Batwing issue #13 brings a genuinely unsettling cover from Marcus To, depicting an armored Batwing on his knees, dwarfed by the looming, blood-soaked figure of Father Lost — a menacing, dreadlocked villain whose dripping, crimson presence dominates the entire composition. The tagline "Under the Spell of Father Lost" makes clear that Batwing is in serious trouble, and the visceral red-drenched imagery gives this New 52 entry a distinctly horror-tinged edge. With Judd Winick writing and Marcus To on art duties inside as well, "A Hard Turn" looks like a compelling chapter in this hero's ongoing story.
