Batman: White Knight #[nn]

Batman: White Knight is an eight-issue Elseworlds-style miniseries written and illustrated by Sean Murphy, set in a world where the Joker is miraculously cured of his madness and reinvents himself as a crusading civic hero named Jack Napier — determined to expose Batman as Gotham's true menace. Murphy's stylish noir artwork and morally provocative premise put Batman on the defensive as Napier builds a political movement against him, while a mystery involving two women who both claim to be Harley Quinn adds further complexity to the story. The series was a critical and commercial hit that launched Murphy's own Black Label imprint line of Batman stories.
