Batman: White Knight #3

Sean Murphy's striking cover for issue three of this eight-part DC series sets an unsettling tone right away — atop a rain-soaked Gotham skyline, a massive, unmasked figure and Batman face each other in a tense, almost conspiratorial exchange. Below them, a pink-haired Harley Quinn in a bat-winged costume clashes mid-air with a figure in a Robin-style outfit, lasso flying between them. With Murphy's sharp linework complemented by Matt Hollingsworth's moody, desaturated palette, this third chapter promises that the shifting alliances at the heart of White Knight are only growing more complicated.
