Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #166

The penultimate chapter of "Don't Blink" arrives in this 2003 installment of Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight, with cover art by Brian Stelfreeze that crackles with tension. Batman looms above from a shadowy perch amid brick and pipes, his attention locked on a man shielding a small child below, while a muzzle flash from a nearby gun lights the scene in orange — the whole composition dripping with that particular Gotham dread. Writer Dwayne McDuffie and artist Val Semeiks keep the momentum of this four-part story driving hard into its third act.
