Batman rescues Dr. Thirteen from Man-Bat's attack in the Batcave, but Man-Bat escapes. After learning from Francine Langstrom that Kirk has changed after taking the wrong dosage of Man-Bat serum, Batman returns to the caves near Wayne Manor to try the help Kirk, who in his delirium believes that his daughter is dead and that Batman is responsible.
