Astro City #1 (2007), published by Panini France, launches a new chapter in the series with a story titled "Chapitre 1 : A l'ombre pour perpète." Written by Kurt Busiek and Jérémy Manesse, and illustrated by Brent Eric Anderson with inks by Will Blyberg, colors by Alex Sinclair, and letters by Gianluca Pini, the issue features a cast including Aaron Barzun, Alan Craig, Alligator, Anders von Rupert, Asa Martin, Astra Furst, Barbara Hammacher, and Beauté. The cover, a striking piece by Alex Ross, presents the series' signature blend of dramatic storytelling and iconic visuals.
