Brent Eric Anderson
Brent Eric Anderson was born on June 15, 1955, in the United States. He is best known as the artist on the landmark X-Men graphic novel *God Loves, Man Kills* and as the long-time visual architect of the acclaimed series *Astro City*. Anderson entered comics in the early 1980s, quickly making a name for himself with a clean, expressive style that balanced superhero dynamism with quiet, human moments. His most significant collaboration has been with writer Kurt Busiek, with whom he co-created the world of *Astro City*, a series that explores the lives of ordinary people and superheroes in a shared universe. Anderson’s work on *Astro City*—including story arcs collected in *Family Album* and *Confession*—is celebrated for its emotional depth and meticulous storytelling. He also contributed as an inker and colorist on various projects. Over a career spanning from 1982 to 2022, Anderson was credited on 42 issues, primarily for *Astro City* and its related specials. His legacy is that of a craftsman who helped elevate superhero comics to a more introspective, character-driven art form.
