“Torn Part Six”

In "Torn Part Six," Cyclops confronts the illusion of Emma Frost as the Hellfire Club's mental projections unravel around him, while Blindfold uses a mysterious string to restore Beast’s fractured mind. As Ord and Danger assault the mansion, dragging Hisako into the chaos, the X-Men face a desperate stand—until S.W.O.R.D. intervenes, teleporting them all to safety. Written by Joss Whedon and illustrated with striking precision by John Cassaday, with colors by Laura Martin and letters by Chris Eliopoulos, this pivotal issue ends with Blindfold’s chilling prophecy: one of the X-Men won’t return. The cover, also by John Cassaday, captures the intensity of the moment.

Cyclops, having shot "Emma" in the head, continues to shoot the Hellfire Club members, exposing them as mental projections, except for Cassandra Nova who is more persistent. Blindfold restores Beast's personality with a special ball of string he created. Ord and Danger invade the mansion, fighting Hisako and dragging her into the main fight. Cyclops talks Shadowcat down from killing Emma, Ord and Danger break through, and then S.W.O.R.D. teleports the X-Men, Hisako, Ord and Danger onto their ship and flies away with them all. Blindfold prophesies that one of the X-Men will not return.
