About this Collection

This 2013 volume, the 35th Asterix adventure, sends the indomitable Gauls far north to the land of the Picts. When a mysterious blue-painted stranger washes ashore near their village, Asterix and Obelix travel to ancient Scotland to help him reclaim his throne, encountering a host of new characters and a culture built on clans, bagpipes, and a certain famous lake monster. Written by Jean-Yves Ferri and illustrated by Didier Conrad, it marks the first Asterix album created without original series co-creator Albert Uderzo at the helm, while still honoring the classic spirit of the series.

Asterix #35, published by Egmont Ehapa in 2013, features the titular Gaul and his companions on a new adventure in the Scottish Highlands, where they encounter the Picts. The story unfolds with Asterix, Automatix, Baba, Calluna, Camilla, Dreifuß, Erica, and Fafnie navigating the challenges of a foreign land, all drawn in the classic style by Didier Conrad.
