Astérix #35
This 35th volume of the Asterix series sends the indomitable Gauls on an adventure to the land of the Picts (ancient Scotland). After a mysterious, tattooed stranger washes ashore near their village, Asterix and Obélix must navigate the clans and politics of Caledonia to help him reclaim his rightful place. Written by Jean-Yves Ferri and illustrated by Didier Conrad, this marks the first Asterix album created without original series co-creator Albert Uderzo at the helm, following his retirement from drawing the series.
In "Astérix chez les Pictes," the Gaulish hero and his companions travel to the misty lands of the Picts, encountering local chieftains and fellow villagers in a familiar blend of humor and adventure. The story unfolds with Astérix, Abraracourcix, Agecanonix, and the usual crew navigating the quirks of a new culture, all rendered in the signature style of Didier Conrad.
