“Jinx Minx”

In "Jinx Minx," Joe and Janet brave Professor Transistor’s latest invention, hoping a brain machine will boost Joe’s IQ just enough to pass algebra—only to find his intelligence (and head size) skyrocketing to absurd levels. With Joe now smarter than ever—and increasingly overwhelmed—his return to the lab sets off a chain of chaotic consequences. Art by Joe Edwards and a cover by Samm Schwartz bring the zany sci-fi mischief to life in this 1963 classic.

Joe and Janet, despite their previous misadventures with Professor Transistor's inventions, go to his laboratory to make Joe smart enough to pass his algebra exam. The Professor's brain machine raises his IQ from 90 to 9,000 and also increases the size of his head. Unfortunately the high intelligence turns out to be trouble and Joe returns to get the Professor to reverse the effect.
