Archie's Madhouse #20
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeA sunglasses shop becomes the setting for a perfectly timed gag on this 1962 Archie Series cover, where a bug-eyed customer in a suit and hat waves an advertisement at a puzzled young woman behind the counter, pointing out that the store's "We Fit Anybody!" ad may have oversold its promise. The display case full of colorful frames and the cheerful sunglasses poster make the comedic disconnect all the more charming. Archie's Mad House was reliably good for this kind of lighthearted, everyday humor, and issue #20 looks like a fine example of the series at its most playful.
