Archie's Joke Book Magazine #52

A charming slice of early-1960s Riverdale comedy, this February 1961 issue sets the scene perfectly on its cover by Harry Lucey: a grinning blonde girl perched on a sofa — hearts floating around a nearby lamp shade — reassures a wide-eyed Archie that she's disconnected the doorbell and killed the lights, while Archie nervously hopes there won't be any "interference." The playful misunderstanding practically writes itself, and with Bill Vigoda handling interior art on "That's the Spirit," there's plenty of laughs waiting inside this ten-cent gem.
