“Ex-tremely Sorry”

In "Ex-tremely Sorry," Archie's Double Digest Magazine #119 (2000), Mr. Lodge’s prized Buddha statues spark a chain of hilarious mix-ups when Veronica gives one away as a gift. What starts as a simple gesture spirals into chaos as Archie, Betty, and others mistake the statues for missing pieces, leading to wild confusion—and Mr. Lodge’s growing panic over what he thinks is now an eleven-statue collection. Penciled and inked by Rex W. Lindsey, the cover captures the absurdity perfectly, while Bill Vigoda’s art brings the gag-filled misadventures to life.

Mr. Lodge has three Buddha-esque statues that would be priceless if the full set of five could be found. Veronica decides to give them away to her friends, causing extreme confusion when Archie sees Betty's statuette and thinks it is one of the missing two figures. The same three statues keep getting passed around and mistaken for new ones, until Mr. Lodge thinks there are now eleven of them!
