Archie & Friends #89

The Riverdale Gang is clearly ready to rock in this 2005 entry in the Archie & Friends series — Veronica, Archie, Betty, and Jughead are mid-jam with guitars, drums, and tambourine, while a wide-eyed Archie in the foreground holds up a Riverdale Globe headline screaming "Billionaire to Blast Into Space," with a speech bubble asking whether Mister Lodge wants to escape their music that badly. Stan Goldberg's pencils (inked here by Jon D'Agostino) give the whole cover that irresistible, energetic Archie charm. Writer Mike Pellowski's story "Give Us Some Space" promises the kind of comedic chaos this gang does best.
