“Tired of It All”

This oversized Giant Annual from 1975 captures the irrepressible spirit of Riverdale in a single bright scene: Betty and Veronica flank a beaming Archie Andrews, whose report card from Riverdale High School is front and center — apparently his marks are pretty good, judging by his enthusiastic "Right on!" Cover pencils by Dan DeCarlo and inks by Jon D'Agostino give the whole image that warm, energetic charm the Archie gang is known for, with a sputtering jalopy and a crowd of recognizable students adding lively background detail. At 35 cents, this is a generous helping of Riverdale fun packed into one cheerful package.
