Archie and Me Comics Digest #23
In "Jingles' New Job," Jughead Jones takes on a most serious role: guarding a prized date pin for Archie, all while sporting an English palace guard hat and refusing to move—much to Reggie’s amusement and frustration. With Craig Boldman’s sharp humor and Rex Lindsey’s expressive art bringing the antics to life, this lighthearted tale turns a simple bet into a steadfast stand. Dan Parent’s cover captures the moment perfectly, showing Jughead in full guard mode, unshakable and utterly committed.

Jughead brings an English palace guard hat to school. When Reggie bets Jughead a dinner of bangers and mash that Jughead can't stand still like those guards, Jughead takes the bet. Jughead also agrees to guard a special date pin for Archie. But when Archie desperately needs the pin back, a stoic Jughead remains undistracted from his mission.
