Archie #620
Archie blasts his trumpet with pure, oblivious joy on the cover of issue #620, sending papers, books, and belongings flying in every direction while an exasperated principal, a startled older woman, and a frustrated blonde girl scramble around him in chaotic disarray. The cover — penciled by Fernando Ruiz and inked by Bob Smith — perfectly sets up the story inside, cheekily titled "A Lot of Brass." With writing by Craig Boldman and art by Pat Kennedy and Al Milgrom, this 2011 entry is a cheerful reminder of why Riverdale's most lovable goofball has been making noise — figuratively and literally — for decades.

Since Archie can play guitar in a rock band, surely he can play cornet in a brass combo.
