“Running in the Fast Lane”

Reggie Mantle (bib #15) flashes a smug grin at a worried-looking Archie (bib #20) mid-stride at the Riverdale High Mini Marathon, with colorful balloons and a crowd of fellow runners filling out the festive scene. Stan Goldberg and Bob Smith's cover does a wonderful job of capturing that classic Archie rivalry energy — Reggie's boast of "You don't have a chance to win… I made sure of that!" says everything you need to know about the mischief ahead. If you enjoy watching Riverdale's favorite schemer get his comeuppance, "Running in the Fast Lane" looks like a thoroughly entertaining romp.
