Archie #501
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeArchie is clearly dreaming big in this November 2000 issue — literally. The cover, penciled by Dan DeCarlo and inked by Henry Scarpelli, shows a sleeping Archie imagining himself atop the gold-medal podium in an Olympic-style "Gold Medal in Kissing" competition, with a female judge reaching up to bestow a kiss while bronze-medal "France" and silver-medal "Italia" competitors look on amid a packed stadium. It's a wonderfully silly fantasy that captures everything lovably delusional about Riverdale's favorite redhead, paired inside with the story "Kokomania" from writer George Gladir and artist Stan Goldberg.
