Archie #356
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis special Winter Olympics issue sends the Archie gang to Calgary for the 1988 Olympic Winter Games, and Stan Goldberg's cover perfectly captures the spirit of international camaraderie — Archie is cheerfully posing a little too close to a group of smiling athletes in USA, Canada, and Norway jackets, ski poles in hand, beneath a banner reading "Come Together in Canada." Veronica, bundled up in a red winter hat, calls him out with a perfectly timed quip while Jughead snaps photos nearby, with the Calgary skyline and a Canadian flag flying proudly in the background. It's a warm, funny snapshot of Riverdale meeting the world stage that makes this a genuinely fun artifact of the 1988 Winter Games era.
