Aquaman #3
This German-language collected edition reprints the early issues of the 2014 Aquaman series by writer Jeff Parker and artist Paul Pelletier, following the New 52 reboot. It collects the start of a new story arc as Arthur Curry deals with threats both on land and in the sea, continuing his role as the King of Atlantis. The volume is part of Panini Deutschland's line of DC Comics collections for the German market.
Aquaman #3 (2014), published by Panini Deutschland, continues the story of the ocean's king with Geoff Johns and Carolin Hidalgo as writers, and Paul Pelletier and Sean Parsons handling art and inks. The issue features Aquaman and other characters from the Atlantean realm, with Rod Reis providing colors and RAM managing the lettering. The cover, illustrated by Paul Pelletier and inked by Sean Parsons, completes the visual presentation.
In "Der Thron von Atlantis, Epilog," Aquaman teams up with the Sea Devils to halt a fleet of whale hunters using stolen Atlantean weaponry. As he digs deeper, he uncovers a shadowy network trafficking ancient Atlantean arms—weapons once lost in the fall of Boston, now resurfacing in the hands of ruthless buyers.
In "Tod eines Königs, Kapitel 1," a new threat stirs beneath the ice of Antarctica as Aquaman, Murk, and their teams race to recover lost Atlantean weapons. Tula presses Aquaman on her brother Orm’s fate, while Aquaman turns to Vulko for guidance on who might be trafficking Atlantean relics. Murk vows to help Tula free Orm from prison, and just as Mera clashes with the Amnesty Bay police, the mysterious Dead King arrives.
In "Tod eines Königs, Kapitel 2," Aquaman turns to Topo for help in tracking down Scavenger, while Orm grapples with the weight of the surface world’s justice. Murk and Tula enlist Swatt in a daring mission to reach the surface and free Orm, all as the Dead King closes in on Mera.
In "Tod eines Königs, Kapitel 3: Konfrontation," Mera returns to Xebel seeking aid against the Dead King, only to face Nereus’s fury over her failure to kill Aquaman as ordered. Meanwhile, Aquaman races to find Mera after learning of the attack, while Scavenger slips through his grasp and makes his way toward Atlantis. Murk, Tula, and Swatt press forward with their plan to free Orm from prison, as the tide of conflict shifts beneath the sea.
