Aquaman #20

Part of the New 52 "Death of a King" arc, this 2013 issue promises an interlude centered on the return of the Others — and the cover by Paul Pelletier and Sean Parsons makes that reunion feel anything but peaceful. A massive, snarling werewolf-like creature lunges forward while a determined Aquaman looms large in the background, trident raised, his expression steely and resolved.
