American Vampire #7
In "Devil in the Sand, Part Two," Jack Straw, Felicia Camillo, and Cash McCogan press forward in their investigation, tracking down leads at a Las Vegas brothel run by the enigmatic Jim Smoke—known as Skinner Sweet—and then to the historic Boulder Dam construction site, where the murdered businessman was once a key figure in the secretive Consortium of Four. Written by Scott Snyder and brought to life with striking art by Rafael Albuquerque and Mateus Santolouco, with colors by Dave McCaig and letters by Steve Wands, this issue deepens the mystery with a gritty, atmospheric tone. The cover, by Rafael Albuquerque, captures the tension with a haunting, shadowed figure against a desert backdrop.
