All Star Western #27
The tagline says it all — "Man of Yesterday, Say Hello to the Man of Tomorrow!" — as scarred bounty hunter Jonah Hex squares off against a hovering, red-eyed Superman, both pistols blazing against a bright blue sky while spent shell casings litter the ground below. It's a genuinely wild collision of DC's Old West grit and New 52 superheroics, rendered with kinetic energy by cover penciler Giuseppe Camuncoli and inker Norm Rapmund. Writers Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray, with artist Moritat on interiors, continue to make All Star Western one of the New 52's more adventurous titles.
