Jonah Hex trades his horse for handlebars in this February 2014 New 52 installment, and the cover — penciled by Giuseppe Camuncoli and inked by Cam Smith — captures that culture-clash energy perfectly: the scarred bounty hunter roars down a sun-scorched desert highway on a motorcycle, a dark-haired woman riding behind him while a burning car blazes in the distance, all framed by the blunt promise of "Highway to Hell." Written by Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti with interior art by Moritat and Jeff Johnson, All Star Western #26 keeps finding fresh angles on its fish-out-of-water premise, and this particular snapshot of Hex barreling through the modern American Southwest is hard to look away from.
