All-New Doop #5

This 2014 Marvel All-New title wraps up its run with a cover by Mike Allred that is genuinely hard to look away from — a massive green Doop face, all jagged teeth and red-rimmed eyes, gaping open to reveal a smaller Doop inside its mouth, who in turn holds an even tinier Doop, creating a wonderfully absurd infinite-regression effect. Peter Milligan's story is brought to life interiorly by David Lafuente, Federico Santagati, and colorist Laura Allred, whose palette gives the whole thing a vivid, slightly unsettling pop. If you've been following Doop's delightfully strange corner of the Marvel NOW! universe, this final issue promises to go out with maximum weirdness intact.
