The cursed village of Avonshare appears in New England for a single hour time, once every fifty five years. A comet unveils the village , while Doctor McNider and Myra become lost while traveling by car. The village residents tell them that the village is cursed for all eternity by the villain the Black Baronet, until a hero is able to vanquish the villain. The village is stuck in the year seventeen twenty eight, until the curse can be lifted.
