Criminals trap Aquaman and abandon him in the desert to die. Aquaman is able to make it to a nearby town, but the crooks cut off the water supply so the townsfolk can't help him. Eventually Topo and his octopus friends help Aquaman get rehydrated, and Aquaman defeats the crooks by causing them to fall into an aquarium's fish tank.
