Steve Seagle
Steven T. Seagle is an American writer whose career spans comics, television, film, theater, and animation. He is best known for his graphic novel memoir *It's a Bird...* (Vertigo, 2004), a deeply personal exploration of Superman and family, and for co-founding Man of Action Studios with Duncan Rouleau, Joe Casey, and Joe Kelly, the creative team behind the Cartoon Network series *Ben 10*. Seagle entered comics in the early 1990s, writing for Marvel on titles such as *Alpha Flight* and *The Uncanny X-Men*, as well as *Grendel Tales: The Devil in Our Midst* for Dark Horse. His work often blends superheroics with introspection, and he collaborated frequently with artists like Teddy Kristiansen. Beyond comics, Seagle is a founding member of Speak Theater Arts, producing live stage productions, and has taught at Ball State University, Pasadena City College, and Mt. San Antonio College, where he also coached the Forensics team to multiple national championships. His legacy includes a versatile body of work that helped shape modern all-ages animation and mature graphic storytelling.
