Alpha Flight / Deadpool #3
In "Ipnotizzati parte 1," the latest chapter of Alpha Flight / Deadpool #3, a mysterious new girl with powers is taken from an orphanage while Mesmero uses his mind-control to twist the roles of old and new heroes. Written by Steve Seagle and Pier Paolo Ronchetti, with art by Scott Clark and Martin Egeland, this 1998 Marvel Italia issue sees the team split and manipulated in a psychological game where loyalties are tested. The cover by Scott Clark and Chris Carlson captures the eerie tension of the moment, as the line between captor and captive blurs.
In "Ipnotizzati parte 1," Mesmero strikes again, capturing a new group of heroes with his mind-control powers and turning them into his puppets. The veteran heroes are sent to rescue them—only to find themselves caught in a twist where roles reverse and Mesmero now commands the seasoned team. Meanwhile, a mysterious girl with untapped abilities is taken from an orphanage, setting the stage for a deeper mystery.
In "Ipnotizzati parte 2," the Alpha Flight team finally breaks free from Mesmero’s mind control, forcing the villain to flee—yet their victory is short-lived as strange occurrences unfold at the orphanage. Diamond Lil, sensing something is wrong, sets out to find Jeffries at the Department, unaware of what dangers might be waiting in the shadows.
In "Cresci, dito, cresci!", Deadpool tracks down Black Tom Cassady after receiving a cryptic challenge—only to find himself drawn into a trap orchestrated by the enigmatic Dr. Killbrew, who claims to have a cure for a deadly condition. With Syrin’s help and his trademark dark humor, Deadpool must navigate a dangerous game where survival isn’t guaranteed and every move could be a step toward salvation—or ruin.
