Noelle Stevenson
ND Stevenson (born Noelle Diana Stevenson, December 31, 1991) is an American cartoonist and animation producer best known for creating the science fantasy graphic novel *Nimona*, co-writing the comic series *Lumberjanes*, and developing, showrunning, and executive producing the animated series *She-Ra and the Princesses of Power* (2018–2020). Stevenson grew up in the United States and entered comics through webcomics, gaining early attention for *Nimona*, which was later published as a full-length graphic novel. Their signature style blends expressive, energetic linework with a warm, character-driven sensibility, often exploring themes of identity, transformation, and found family. Key collaborators include Shannon Watters, Grace Ellis, and Brooke Allen on *Lumberjanes*. Stevenson’s work has earned multiple Eisner Awards, a Daytime Emmy Award, and a GLAAD Media Award. They also published the autobiographical collection *The Fire Never Goes Out* and the webcomic *I’m Fine I’m Fine Just Understand*, which addresses their experiences as a non-binary, transmasculine creator. Stevenson continues to work in animation and comics, with a career spanning from 2013 to the present.
