Lumberjanes #14

The five Lumberjanes are gathered on a moonlit forest clearing, tending to a trio of small, fluffy unicorn creatures — some dazed, some wide-eyed — while an enormous shadowy unicorn looms ominously in the darkened treeline behind them. It's a beautifully unsettling image that balances the series' signature warmth and whimsy against something genuinely eerie, with Brooke Allen's expressive linework and Maarta Laiho's moody colors doing a lot of heavy lifting. Lumberjanes #14 is a fine example of why this 2015 BOOM! Box series earned such devoted fans.
