Lumberjanes #2
This second volume of the acclaimed series continues the adventures at Miss Qiunzella Thiskwin Penniquiqul Thistle Crumpet's Camp for Hardcore Lady Types. Collecting issues #5-8, the story deepens the camp's supernatural mysteries as the Roanoke cabin girls face strange new creatures and uncover more about the secret history of their summer home. The creative team of Noelle Stevenson, Grace Ellis, Shannon Watters, and Brooke Allen maintains the book's signature blend of humor, heart, and friendship-focused adventure.
In "Friendship to the Craft Badge," the Lumberjanes uncover a surprising truth: Diana is actually Artemis, the Greek goddess, and the three-eyed monsters they’ve faced are Apollo’s spies. With the help of Jen and the rest of the group, they follow cryptic clues to the temple cave they discovered earlier—only to learn the girls have already solved most of the puzzles. When Diana asks Jo to complete one final challenge to save her friends, the consequences leave Jo frozen in stone. Written by Noelle Stevenson and Grace Ellis, with art by Brooke Allen and colors by Maarta Laiho, this issue features a cover by Noelle Stevenson.
In "Friendship to the Craft Badge," the Lumberjanes face a sudden attack by three-eyed velociraptors, forcing the camp to rally under unexpected threats. When the bear lady returns to help, her confrontation with Jo hints at deeper secrets, while Diane—new to the cabin but clearly more than she seems—unfolds a mystery of her own.
In "Jail Break Badge," the Lumberjanes find themselves caught in a mystery when Diana confronts them during a capture the flag game, claiming the bow Molly has been using belongs to her and accusing the group of being Apollo’s agents. With tensions rising, the Lumberjanes return the bow and agree to help Diana uncover the truth—while Jen insists on joining the mission.
In "Friendship to the Max Badge," Diana’s true identity as the Greek goddess Artemis is revealed, exposing a web of deception spun by Apollo through three-eyed monsters posing as threats. As Jen and the Lumberjanes follow a trail of clues to the temple cave they’d discovered earlier, the group confronts a final test—one that forces Jo to step forward and face a challenge that changes everything.
In "Space Jamborie Badge," Jen and the Molly unravel a cosmic mystery to outwit Apollo and Artemis, racing against time to rescue Jo. With clever traps and camp spirit guiding them, they return just in time to turn the tide at the camp.
