Nate Butler
Nate Butler is an American songwriter, music producer, and casting director, best known for launching the platinum R&B group 3LW with their hit singles "No More (Baby I'ma Do Right)" and "Playas Gon' Play," and for penning the R&B classic "Afterparty" by Koffee Brown. Born in the United States, Butler has been based in Atlanta, Georgia, for much of his career. He entered the music industry through songwriting and vocal production, working with multi-platinum artists including Luther Vandross, Backstreet Boys, Christina Milian, and JoJo. His credits extend to blockbuster films such as *Barbershop* and *Save the Last Dance*. Butler also served as a casting producer for *Showtime at the Apollo* and joined the casting teams for *The X-Factor*, *America's Got Talent*, *The Four: Battle For Stardom*, and Netflix’s *Sing On!* He later worked on the Amazon Audible show *Breakthrough* and the Netflix series *Building the Band*. Outside of music, Butler starred in the South African television series *Live Your Dream*, later rebranded as *Dream Factory*, which ran for two seasons.
