Matt Haley was born on June 10, 1970, and built a career spanning comics, film, and television. He is best known for his clean, expressive artwork on superhero titles, particularly for DC Comics and Dark Horse. Haley's path into comics led him to work as an artist and creative consultant on both seasons of Stan Lee's *Who Wants to Be a Superhero*, and he later served as art director for Morgan Spurlock's documentary *Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan's Hope*, which premiered at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival.

His notable comic book work includes *Ghost* for Dark Horse, and several DC projects: *Elseworld's Finest: Supergirl and Batgirl*, *Batman: Batgirl*, the *Superman Returns* movie adaptation, and *The Order* for Marvel Comics. Haley also created the motion comic *Gotham Stories* for FOX, used to promote the television series *Gotham*. Among his most credited titles are *Birds of Prey: Manhunt*, *Phantom of Fear City*, and *C.H.I.X.*, with credits as artist, inker, and writer across 36 issues from 1991 to 2018. His legacy includes a versatile body of work that bridges print and digital media, though specific major awards are not recorded in available sources.
