Issue six of DC's Primal Force puts Meridian front and center in a striking close-up encounter with an enormous, fur-covered beast whose massive clawed hands drip with blood — the cover tagline says it all: "Meridian battles alone! Beauty versus the Beast." Her face is reflected in the creature's enormous red eye, a clever compositional touch by cover penciler Matt Haley and inker Tom Simmons that makes the confrontation feel both intimate and deeply unsettling.
