François Boucq was born on 28 November 1955 in Lille, France. He is best known for his satirical and surreal comics, particularly those featuring the character Jérôme Moucherot. Boucq began his career in the early 1980s, contributing to the prestigious magazine *(À Suivre)*, where his distinctive, detailed linework and darkly humorous storytelling quickly stood out. His style blends a meticulous, almost classical draftsmanship with a taste for the grotesque and the absurd, often exploring psychological and political themes through a fantastical lens.
